BE MORE PIRATE! EXOTIC ISLANDS. HIDDEN TREASURES. RIDDLES, BATTLES AND SHANTIES.
Dlala Studios provided a variety of development support to Rare to assist with the launch of their sensational multiplayer world action-adventure title, published by Microsoft Studios.

An atmospheric narrative adventure written by Rhianna Pratchett. Set between the pages of a diary and a fantasy story where you run on words and use them to interact with the world around you.
Lost Words was a project that came to us through a recommendation of a close friend and colleague. We instantly loved what the project was looking to achieve and wanted to help in any way we could.
Dlala provided programming support on the project.
‘I can highly recommend working with them’
“Working with Dlala has been a massive boost to our project and we’ve really benefited from their expertise as well as their experience of shipping multi-platform games. I can highly recommend working with them.”

All that stands between you and your freedom is a perfectly executed escape plan.
The Escapists is a fantastic franchise that we had the pleasure of working on twice. The first round of work involved assisting the team with the Xbox One and PS4 ports of the game; helping with the adjustments from the PC version, the new UI/control implementation and then the bug fixing to make sure that the console ports were just as, if not better, than the initially launched PC version.
The second time we worked on the franchise related to the creation of the “Escape Team” DLC. We worked closely with the designers on the team to create the new content, which included rebuilding existing mechanics and the introduction of some new twists into the game.

‘Professional, Caring and Communicative’
“Back when we were working on the console version of The Escapists we needed a helping hand on the code side to get things wrapped up in time for launch and we were fortunate enough to find a gap in Dlala Studio’s schedule so that they could assist. The team were professional, caring and communicative throughout. They helped us out on all facets of the title and were not afraid of jumping into any problem or task we threw at them. Dlala Studios worked to our process and pipeline seamlessly, and it was truly refreshing to work with an external studio who required such little overhead from us.”

LEADERS IN THE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, GRAPHICS, VIRTUAL REALITY AND NARRATIVE COMMUNITIES ARE WORKING TO ADVANCE IMMERSIVE TECHNIQUES AND TECHNOLOGIES TO SOLVE PROBLEMS FACING SERVICE MEMBERS, STUDENTS AND SOCIETY.
USC ICT is a fantastic organisation in which they take experiences, such as games, and combine them with learning materials to create engaging tools to train and educate.
Our work with USC ICT marked Dlala’s first foray into ‘Serious Games’ and has been an established and ongoing relationship since 2014. Dlala provides a combination of design, development, art and production support to existing teams within the organisation, as well as the complete solution of taking a project and developing it from concept through to final. We have now successfully worked on over 10 exercises/iterations together.
‘RESPONSIVE, PROFESSIONAL AND EFFICIENT’
“Working with a company 4500 miles from where you are can be a nightmare. Not with Dlala. They were not only amazingly responsive, their levels of competence, knowledge, and professionalism are unparalleled in the game industry. They are the first company I contact when we need quality game development work done.”
Ryan McAlinden, Director For Modelling, Simulation and Training“We have partnered with Dlala for a diverse set of web projects, and have experienced great teamwork and effective outcomes. Aj and his team are responsive, professional, and efficient. Even working eight time zones apart our workflow was seamless.”
